Please support Tricia here.
On the 7th September 2019, 2 miles above the Salisbury Plain, Tricia will conquer her fears and jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane.
By conveniently strapping a Military Instructor to her back, Tricia's first parachute jump will be the most exciting - Freefall. Falling for 45 seconds, she will achieve Terminal velocity (120 Mph) before her instructor pulls the 'chute and guides her safely back to Earth.
Tricia's jump is as ambitious as her target. She hopes to raise a fantastic £10,000.
In her own words:
"Hi, I’m Tricia Rawlingson Plant and on Saturday 7th September 2019 I am hoping to do a parachute jump to raise funds for the Tony Trust. This was a charity started in memory of my husband Tony, who passionately believed in the power of the outdoors and the positive influence on those who are lucky enough to experience it. Sadly there are many children and young people who are not able to take advantage of these experiences, mainly due to funding. This is where the Trust helps by giving small partner funding grants. Since the Trust's creation over 60 young people between the ages of 7 and 18 years have received partner funding grants."
"I have now reached a significant birthday and have been persuaded to do a parachute jump to raise funds for the Trust – quite frankly it fills me with deep fear and I’m terrified; I’ve done quite a few mad things in my lifetime but think this is the maddest!"
"If you feel you could sponsor me I would be very grateful – it would make it all worthwhile and the Tony Trust could continue to send young people on life affirming trips. "
We are incredibly grateful to Tricia for undertaking this challenge and would be delighted if you could sponsor her.
